Speaking on his appointment Chairman Ó Laoide said “I look forward to the year ahead in my role as Chairman and want to thank my fellow Trustees for electing me. There is an energy and enthusiasm among the Trustees about the future of market operations in Limerick. With the support of my fellow Trustees I believe we can ensure that markets in Limerick continue on the path of positive growth in a manner that will ensure a sustainable future.
The Milk Market is a unique asset for this region and with Fresh Fridays now operating until 7pm, the Saturday market continuing to thrive and activity on Sundays growing, working in partnership with stakeholders I believe there is a bright future ahead. “ concluded Mr. Ó Laoide.
